Validating To See if There is an Actual Need

When you tell your friends and family your ideas, many of them will lie to you… that is, they will say it’s a great idea, and they have faith in you. Well, they might have faith, but if they only think its a great idea because you came up with it, you have a problem.

First, are your friends and family the right target audience for your project. Two, does is solve a problem well enough that they will be willing to pay for it?

You see, that is actually one of the biggest tests of if you have a great idea. Finding out will people pay for it, and if so, how much.

Building a great product, which no one will pay for, or won’t pay much for, means you won’t be able to stay in business. And that is a key reason to get into business.

Now, with internal projects this is easier. Did someone request it, and will they use it. So when I build internal projects, this becomes a lot easier to work with. But external projects must be vetted. That’s why we have a sign up form for people to learn more about Easy 360 Review. This is a small form of payment essentially. Will they be willing to get an updated email periodically? A small ask, but with how busy our inboxes get, it can be more than you realize.

Getting people to pre-pay to join your beta project, even at a discount, is a great way to start to actually validate your project.
