Adding UML Class Definitions

Now, if we’re building out a simple no-code app for our MVP then we probably don’t need to build a UML class definition. But just because we are building an MVP, doesn’t mean that we’re not actually coding an application. Therefore, this is a step which we cannot skip.

UML, or the Unified Modeling Language, is a great tool to help share your design phase information with the developers who will build this out. We talk about this in more detail on the class website.

As agile development has become more popular, some question this step in the design. However, I find that it is still useful, especially if it is treated as a living document that will live and be updated past our MVP and into future versions.
